Pauline (O'Brien) Dearing, 91, of Dartmouth died March 17, 2009 peacefully at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Dearing.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Alice (Birtwistle) O'Brien, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
Mrs. Dearing was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper at J.C. Rhodes for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include a son, Charles W. Dearing, Jr. of Dartmouth; two daughters, Jeanne C. Encarnacao and her husband Arthur of Greenfield, MA and Nancy T. McGee and her husband Douglas of Sandwich; a brother, Stephen J. O'Brien of New Bedford; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was the sister of the late Eleanor R. Thomas and Alice T. Babineau.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, March 19th in St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial followed in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or the charity of one's choice.
