WORCESTER___Jurgis Palubinskas, 89, of 147 Lake Avenue, died Friday, March 13, 2009 in Webster Manor, 745 School St., Webster.
He leaves his wife of over sixty years, Sophie (Benner) Palubinskas, a daughter, Christine Kacevich and her husband, Paul; two sons, George Palubinskas and his wife, Janet of Worcester and Robert Palubinskas and his wife, Nancy of Oxford; four grandchildren, Matthew, Kurt, Kyla and Max and nephews in Lithuania. He was born in Vilnius, Lithuania and moved here in 1951.
Mr. Palubinskas worked at Notre Dame Cemetery for twenty years after he retired from The International Brotherhood of Teamsters - Local 170. He was a member of St. Casimir Church. Jurgis enjoyed gardening and was very proud of the showcase of flowers he grew.
The private funeral service will be held in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
