Manuel Pereira, age 82, of Fall River, passed away March 13, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, the son of the late John & Rose (Rodrigues) Pereira. Prior to retiring, Manuel worked for Craig Byron Dress Co. & previously for Stella-Ann Frocks in their shipping department as a Shipper & Order Picker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a past member of the Border City Club, & enjoyed watching Classic Western Movies.
He is survived by 3 sisters: Alice Freitas, Virginia Rego, & Evelyn Haley all of Fall River. Several nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, great-great nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Georgianna Machado
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8 P.M.
