Doris R. (Brun) Winterbottom, 89, of Fairhaven died Thursday March 12, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Albert Winterbottom.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Ovila T. and Anna (Couture) Brun, she lived in Fairhaven for most of her life.
Mrs. Winterbottom was an antique dealer who owned and operated the Corner Shop on Route 6 in Mattapoisett. She had also worked at the Harbor Beach Club and the Holiday House.
She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed flea markets.
Survivors include six children,Thomas, Richard, and Mary Winterbottom, and Joan Shaw, all of Fairhaven, Bette Huyser of Nantucket, and Nancy Rendal and her husband Edward of Easton; a sister, Aline Larochelle of New Bedford; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Roland, George, Raymond, Laurette, Violet, Rose, Angie, and Bernice.
