Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Elie and Georgiana (Harvey) Parisien. As a young girl, she suffered from chronic rheumatoid arthritis; and following a fall at work, she was left permanently disabled. With the support of devoted relatives, friends and health care providers, Louise was able to live an independent life in her own apartment, until her most recent illness. She was never one to complain and always maintained a positive outlook in life. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish and was currently a member of Immaculate Conception Parish.
Louise is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins, including Marcia Jarvis of Gloucester and Virginia Fenton of Florida. She was predeceased by 4 sisters, Henrietta Stone, Vivian Belanger, Marie St. Laurent and Yvonne Kauppinen and 3 brothers Emile, Arthur and Raymond ‘Pete’ Parisien.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for her funeral mass on Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd. Salem at 9 am. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. For guestbook and additional information, please visit www.levesquefunerals.com
