Mary Alice Judkins, 68, of Derry, NH, died on Monday, March 9, 2009, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Derry. Born on August 4, 1940, in Lawrence, MA, she was a daughter of the late Melvin Robert and Theresa (Messineo) Spates. Mrs. Judkins enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed shopping, yard sales and the mountains.
Surviving include her husband, Robert “Bob” Judkins; two daughters, Elizabeth Dumont and her husband, Guildo, Jennifer Gagne and her husband, Roger; two sons, Richard Judkins and his wife, Nancy and Robert Judkins, Jr. Surviving also include 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two sisters, Theresa Levesque and Dianna Pond as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 from 4-8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, March 12th, 2009 at 10 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave. Derry. Interment followed in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Baker Street, Lawrence, MA.
