Jesup- Jack Thomas Ogden, age 18, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009. He was a native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, a 2008 graduate of Wayne County High School, a Wayne County Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. Jack also served on the yearbook staff as a photo and technical editor and was a member of the tennis team. He attended the University of Georgia and was currently attending the Coastal Georgia Community College. He attended the First Baptist Church of Jesup and served on the STOMP Worship Staff. Jack, along with his brother Hoke operated a website business.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Jack Vann and paternal grandparents Hoke and Cathleen Ogden.
Surviving are his parents: Dan and Nancy Vann Ogden of Jesup; two brothers: Hoke Ogden and Shep Ogden both of Jesup; maternal grandmother Blanche Vann of Jesup and several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 3:30 pm from the First Baptist Church of Jesup. Interment will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 pm from the funeral home.
Active Pallbearers will be Heath Greeson, Matthew Meadows, Gregory Grantham, Ryan Jones, Drew Griffis and Chris Harris.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Wayne County Tennis Team and the Wayne County High School Class of 2008.
