Linda Grey Welchman, 67, of Summerville, widow of Albert Edward Welchman, Jr. died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Trident Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 2 o’clock at North Charleston Church of Christ, 8415 Patriot Boulevard, North Charleston, SC. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Southeastern Children’s Home, Post Office Box 339, Duncan, SC 29334
Mrs. Welchman was born June 13, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee, daughter of the late Jerry D. Koen and Birdie Mae Wright Koen. She was a graduate of Messick High School, Memphis, Tennessee. She was a Military Commerce Facilitator. She ran the Charleston Visitor Information Center for four years. She loved bingo, enjoyed being with friends and family and being at home with her dog, Chino. She was a member of Goose Creek Church of Christ.

2 grandsons: Joshua S. Yates and Jonathan “Chase” Yates both of Summerville

Sister: Betty Green of Nashville, TN
1 niece: Dianne Howell of Memphis, TN
4 nephews: Don Hester and Larry Green both of Memphis, TN, Paul Green and Jerry Green both of Nashville, TN and Tommy Joe Koen of Hendersonville, TN.
She was predeceased by her stepmother: Josephine Koen and her sister: Jerry Sue Hester
