Obituary

CARMEL, IN___Paula A. Kalinowski, 65, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 2 in her home. Paula was born December 6, 1943 in Fitchburg, MA to the late Daniel and Madeline (Valeri) Corritore. She graduated from Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA and received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.

Paula is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward J. Kalinowski; children, Dr. Edward A. “Tony” Kalinowski, Nicole A. Kalinowski and Steven A. (wife, Christina) Kalinowski; granddaughter, Madeline; aunt, Sophie Valeri. Originally from Leominster, MA, Paula and her husband lived in many cities before settling in Carmel in 1986. Paula was a homemaker and was an active member in many community and charitable organizations. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church, The Assistance League of Indianapolis, The Association of International Women, Mu Alpha Latreian Society, the Italian Heritage Society of Indiana, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Book Club and she was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, March 6, in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Indianapolis. The committal service will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 162 Webster St., Worcester, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens St., Indianapolis, IN 46203 or to a charity of the donor’s choice. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, Worcester is directing local arrangements.
