Manchester-Irene Y. Auger, 76, died March 6, 2009 at the Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on November 8, 1932 the daughter of Alfred and Jeannette (Bourgeois) Barbeau and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Prior to her retirement she had worked in the shoe industry for Dorsen Fleisher Shoe Co.. She was a volunteer nurses aide in Germany while her husband was serving in the military. She loved her grandchildren and spending quality time at home with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Roland G. Auger who died August 15, 1999.
Members of her family include 2 sons, Laurent Auger of Lake City, FL., Michael Auger of Bow, NH, 6 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 PM at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St..
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church. Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery at a later date.
