Obituary

LOWELL- Blanche C. Kmiec, 91, of Lowell, MA., passed away Friday, March 6, 2009.

Born November 16, 1917, in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of Jan and Tekla Lingizewski.

Blanche was employed at Lawrence Mfg. Company for many years until illness caused her to retire in 1967.

She was a member of St. Casimir's Church, where she loved to dance at the polish picnics in Pelham, N.H.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Felix, and a sister, Sophie Struzenski of Peabody, MA

Blanche was an honorary member of the Rotonda Ruby Red Hatters and her photo was highlighted at the 2008 International Red Hat Convention in Orlando, FL. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Dalton of Bellingham, MA., Patricia Chaplin of Fuquay-Varina, NC., and Pamela Bombardieri of Rotonda West, FL.; eight grand children; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Blanche has been a resident of D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell since 1998. Her family expresses many thanks to the wonderful staff who have cared for her.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Monday from 3 until 7 PM. Her Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Casimir Church in Lowell. Spring burial in St. Casimir Cemetery in Pelham, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the The Woman’s Guild at D’Youville Senior Care, 981 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
