Obituary

Mr. Aldo J. Veronelli 84 of Somerville March 6, Beloved husband of Thelma L. (Pensa) Veronelli. Devoted father of Robert Veronelli and his partner Janet Bowers of Gill, Linda Belkner and her husband Richard of Concord, William Veronelli and his wife Margaret of Reading, Cindy Regan and her husband John of Littleton, Nancy Dunn and her husband Robert of Dedham, Marianne Bolt and her husband Daniel of Medford. Devoted grandfather of Laura Belkner of New York City, Samantha and Nathaniel Bolt of Medford, David Veronelli of Reading and Alexander Dunn of Dedham. He was a loving brother to Mary, Hilda and John Veronelli of Melrose. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Late Army veteran of World War II; he served in the 70th Infantry Division, the Trailblazers, in 275G Company in the Alsace-Rhineland Region from 1943-1945. He was a proud member of the 70th Infantry Division Association and a regular and avid participant in the biannual reunions. A member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club, he was an enthusiastic outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a loyal and dedicated friend to all who knew him. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street MEDFORD Monday at 9 am. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine’s Church 179 Summer St. Somerville at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Aldo’s name may be sent to the Matignon High School Scholarship Fund, 1 Matignon Road, Cambridge MA. 02139.
