Salem, NH- Bruce E. White, 60, husband of Doreen (Bush) White, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Concord Regional Visiting Nursing Association Hospice House in Concord, NH, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, surrounded by his family.
Born in Newton, MA, Bruce was the son of Alphonse and Elsie (Comeau) White. He was a graduate of Lincoln Sudbury High School and then went on to attend the University of Lowell. For many years Bruce worked at Nortel Networks in Billerica as a software diagnostic engineer.
One of Bruce’s favorite past times, was flying planes. He was a licensed glider pilot as well as a private pilot. He also enjoyed rock climbing as well as other athletic activities. He was known for being a quiet, gentle man, who loved his family.
Bruce will be sadly missed by his wife of 25 years, Doreen (Bush) White, formerly of Lawrence, his son, Raymond R. White of Washington, DC, a brother Richard White and his wife Arline of Missouri, and a sister Beverly Buxton of Virginia, as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, March 10th, from 4-8 pm, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233, Lawrence, St., in Methuen. A remembrance service to celebrate Bruce’s life will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, March 11th, at 11 am.
