TEWKSBURY - George H. Furbish Jr., age 84, died Wednesday evening, March 4, at Wingate of Lowell, following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Josephine M. (Signore) Furbish, who died in 2003.
He was born in Woodbridge, CT, on May 18, 1924, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1956.
During WW2, he had served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Furbish retired from the security department of Avco/Textron, in Wilmington.
He was the brother of the late Glen Furbish, and Jane Miller, and leaves many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service was held Saturday morning, March 7, in the Crossroads Baptist Church, Pelham, NH, followed by burial in Gibson Cemetery, Pelham. Memorials to the Greater Lowell V.N.A. Hospice, P.O. Box 1965, Lowell, MA 01853 will be appreciated.
