TEWKSBURY: Rosemary G. (Clark) Kennedy, age 83, a former longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.
She was the wife of Francis L. Kennedy, who died August 13, 1979.
Born in Cambridge on June 17, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Gertrude (Manning) Clark.
Mrs. Kennedy was raised in Cambridge, attended Cambridge schools and graduated from the former Cambridge High & Latin School.
Rosemary previously resided in Tewksbury for thirty nine years, where she was a communicant of St. William’s Parish.
Mrs. Kennedy most recently lived at the Neville Place Assisted Living Community in Cambridge, where she loved playing cards and socializing with her many friends.
Rosemary dedicated her life to her family and loved family vacations spent in Maine. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, especially the “little ones”.
She is survived by her six children, Cheryl A. Kennedy-Perez and her wife Julia E. Perez-Kennedy of Arlington, Susan Hurt and her husband Robert L. of Crowley, TX, Francis L. Kennedy and his wife Mary Pepin Kennedy of Pepperell, Maryellen Fleury and her husband Mike Glover of Hollis, NH, Thomas E. Kennedy and his wife Linda of Hudson, NH and Christopher J. Kennedy of Medford; one brother, Howard E. Clark of Derry, NH; seventeen grandchildren, Brooke and Kellie Kennedy of Hudson, NH, Christopher Fleury and his wife Tiffany of Derry, NH, Jennifer Fleury of Lyndeborough, NH, Ashley Rocheleau and her husband Joseph of Nashua, NH, Matthew Kennedy of Santa Monica, CA, Kristen, Brian, Cailin and Connor Kennedy of Pepperell, Amy T. Shelton and her husband Michael of Haltom City, TX, Gregory Hurt and his wife Amy of Crowley, TX, Jason Hurt and his wife Sunny of Cleburne, TX, Shelley Bryant and her husband Bruce of Herndon, VA, Margo and Maria Perez of Arlington, and Anajulia Kennedy of Cambridge; eleven great grandchildren, Brianne Fleury, Riley and Teagan Fleury, Vance Taylor and his wife Cassy, Crawford Hurt, Julian, Olivia and Madeline Bryant, Daniel Perez, James Dunne and Najana Cheryl Kennedy; one great great grandchild, Cyriss Taylor; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends at Neville Place in Cambridge.
She was the sister of the late Charles Clark, Constance Lalli and Gertrude Phillips.
Calling hours Friday, March 6th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Saturday, March 7th, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
