Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Kathleen M. (MacRae) Nolan, 61, of 32 Norman Avenue, Magnolia died Saturday, February 28, 2009 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following an extended illness. She was the wife of Thomas C. Nolan, Jr.
Born in Brighton on March 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Kathleen (McTigue) MacRae.
Mrs. Nolan taught art and religion at St. Ann School. She had also worked at Sunbanque of Gloucester, Merry Maids and as a collection agent for Sears & Roebuck.
At one time, she was an active member of the Magnolia Women’s Club. In her later years, she enjoyed watching television with her dog, Teresa, and talking on the phone with her many friends, especially Judy and Helen.
In addition to her husband of forty-one years, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas, III and Suzanne Nolan of Beverly, Sean and Stacey Nolan and Timothy and Annette Nolan all of Gloucester, five grandchildren, Thomas Nolan, IV of Trumbul, CT, Sara Ploss and Michael Nolan both of Beverly, Kevin Nolan and Ericca Nolan both of Gloucester, a brother, Ronald and his wife, Charlene Newman, a sister, Sandra and her husband, Joseph Nadeau and sister-in-law, Judith MacRae all of Gloucester and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Robert MacRae and Paul MacRae.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14th in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Shriner’s Burns Institute, 61 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
