Westbrook, CT-George H. Kaltsas, 96, a long time resident of Worcester died peacefully on February 27th in his home in Westbrook, CT. He leaves his loving and devoted daughter, Jeannie and son in law Michael Sakellis of Westbrook, CT with whom he made his home. His wife of 50 years, Maria Kaltsas died in March 2000. He is survived by two sons Christopher Kaltsas and Nicholas Kaltsas; a daughter, Effie Marshall and 10 loving grandchildren.
He was born in 1913 in Northern Epiros, Greece, the son of Harry and Eugenia Kaltsas. George was an honored US Army WWII veteran as well as a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and also a long time AHEPA supporter and promoter of the Greek community in the United States.
