Obituary

Beverly: Richard C. Jenkins age 57 of Beverly died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the devoted husband of Estelle Albert with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.

Born in Ipswich and raised in Salem, he was the son of Theresa (Beaulieu) Jenkins-Moody of St. Petersburg, FL, and the late George Jenkins. Rick served in Iceland with the U.S. Navy during the war in Viet Nam. He was employed as a mechanic for Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Rick loved hunting, fishing, car racing and especially his chair and remote control.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son Matthew G. Jenkins and his wife Amie of Beverly, a brother David Jenkins of Boston, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Louis Jenkins.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] for visiting hours from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to be followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
