Beloved daughter of David P. Murphy of Hingham and the late Lois P. (Coffey). Stepdaughter of Judy Tetreault-Murphy. Loving sister of Maureen Murphy O'Hanley of Hingham and Ellen Murphy Dengler of NJ. Step-sister of Richard T. "Chip" Toomey of CT, Shannon E. Toomey of NY and J. Regan Toomey of Scituate.
Also survived by five nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM Saturday at 11:00 AM.
Funeral Mass in Saint Paul's Church, Hingham at 12:00 Noon.
Visiting hours Friday 3-8 PM.
Cremation will follow.
Ann possessed the wonderful gifts of humor and laughter and the simple yet profound ability to see people for who they are. Her love and understanding of children were at the core of her being; Ann helped create a joyful, early education experience for many, many families. As an expression of her devotion to children and the Cambridge-Ellis School, Ann established an endowment fund to support community artisans working with the teachers and children there. Ann loved the outdoors, she was an avid golfer, loved to garden and be at the ocean.
Graduate of Hingham High School, Class of 1978 and Wheelock College, Class of 1984.
