Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Frances C. (Doucette) Wile, 89, of 60 Poplar Street died Tuesday evening, February 24, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Leslie L. Wile, who died on September 10, 2008. They had shared sixty-six years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester on August 16, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ada M. (Glover) Doucette. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1938.
Mrs. Wile was employed at the former Kresky’s Department Store as a sales clerk for several years. She was also a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie L. and F. Maynard Tucker, III of Gloucester, three grandchildren, Daniel N. and his wife, Shelley (Christie) Tucker of Berea, KY and Carrie E. and Jennifer L. Tucker both of Gloucester, four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Samuel and Meghan Tucker all of Berea, KY and Sianna Tucker of Gloucester and a niece, Carolyn Gerrior of Largo, FL. She was also predeceased by three brothers, George, Leo and Edward Doucette.
Due to the weather, her funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Beechbrook Cemetery.
