North Andover, MA - Theresa M. (Turcotte) "Terri" Newcomb, 93 died February 24, 2009 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center.
She was born in Lawrence the daughter of Elzeard and Emilie (Dionne) Turcotte, and was a graduate of Sacred Heart grammar and Lawrence High School.
Before her retirement she had been employed with the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, Lawrence and Wilmington. Prior to its closing she had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in South Lawrence, an extroardinary Eucharistic Miinister, and was involved in volunteer work for church.
According to her family she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and crafts and her family was paramount to her.
Theresa was the widow of John E. Newcomb. She is survived by her children; Janet T. and her husband E. Justin Childs of Methuen, Sr. Jane Newcomb, SUSC, stationed in Tewksbury, Patricia A. Houston of Cambridge, MA, son's; Richard E. & his wife Fay A. Newcomb of Billerica, Dennis C. Newcomb, Allan G. & his wife Faye Newcomb of New York, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Theresa was predeceased by her children Michael and John Newcomb.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday morning at 10:30 in Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH, with interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery of Andover. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
