Obituary

WORCESTER-Mary B. (Rutkiewicz) Kusy, 87, of Worcester, died Monday, February 23rd in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She leaves her husband of 62 years, Stanley J. Kusy; her son, Alan R. Kusy and JoAnne Morris of Worcester; her daughter-in-law, Gisela Kusy of Chapel Hill, NC; four grandchildren, Briana and Lyndsie, both of Worcester, Kim of North Carolina and Kevin of Virginia; and three great grandchildren. Her son, Robert Peter Kusy died in 2008 and two brothers, Stanley and Benjamin Rutkiewicz and her sister, Jane Kusy predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Peter and Amelia (Nalawajko) Rutkiewicz and was a graduate of Auburn High School. Mrs. Kusy was employed by Hill Envelope, Stuart‘s Diner and Howard Johnsons. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and a former member of the PAV, the PNI and the Auburn Sportsman’s Club. Mrs. Kusy was a talented seamstress, excellent cook, immaculate homemaker and a funny lady. She loved to dance and did it well. Mrs. Kusy was an avid donator at Mohegan Sun.

A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 27th at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERES FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
