Rose C. Vasanelli, 89, of Mansfield died peacefully on Monday February 23, 2009 at the Life Care Center in Attleboro.
Born in Cambridge, MA on May 17, 1919 she was a loving and devoted daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Sottile) Vasanelli.
She grew up in Cambridge and was educated in Cambridge and Somerville schools. Rose was a retired secretary and had been employed at the Nabisco Chocolate Co. in Mansfield for over 25 years before retiring.
A resident of Mansfield for the past 67 years she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was a former member and past president of the Catholic Women’s Club at St. Mary’s Church. An avid reader, Rose also enjoyed sewing, making dresses and being in the presence of her family and friends.
She is survived by her many dear cousins.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday February 26th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visitation will be held on Thursday morning prior to the Funeral Mass from 8:30- 9:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
