Obituary

SEABROOK, NH - Carol J. (Welenc) Robichaud, 68, wife of David R. Robichaud of Seabrook NH, died on Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Boston Medical Center after a brief illness.

Carol was born in Danvers on May 27, 1940 the daughter of the late F. Walter and Wanda (Gieryk) Welenc. She was raised and educated in Danvers and Peabody. Following her marriage in 1961 she moved to Salem and remained there before making her home in Seabrook NH in 1993.

Carol began her working career as an assembler at Parker Brothers in Salem. She was then employed in the receiving department at Rich’s Department Store in Salem where she remained for the next 20 years before moving on to Cardinal Health in Peabody employed in the same capacity for the following 6 years. In 2003, she retired as an assembler from San-Tron of Ipswich.

She enjoyed doing word search games, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

Carol’s life always revolved around her children. Carol had a love for making afghans and later, being the proud grandmother of 6 whom she cherished she made countless afghans for all of them.

In addition to her husband with whom she would have shared 48 years of marriage in July, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Karen L. Crane-Poland and Edward Poland of Peabody and Marc D. and Kellie Robichaud of Salem; a sister and her husband, Connie and Harry Eng of Salem; her grandchildren, Christopher, Kaitlyn and Timothy Crane all of Peabody, Jeffrey and Michael Robichaud both of Salem and Nicholas Robichaud of Seabrook NH; her 90 year old father-in-law, Eugene L. Robichaud who resides with Karen in Peabody; a close cousin, Nancy Minter of Peabody, many other cousins, nieces and nephews and her cat and best friend Missy. Her son Peter J. Robichaud predeceased her in 2003.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 9 a.m. from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. Cremation will follow the Mass on Thursday followed with her burial of ashes in the spring at the family lot in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
