Obituary

Cyril J. “Cy” Arsenault Sr. 77 of Salem, NH, died Thursday at his home in Salem, NH.

He was born in Lawrence, MA where he grew up and attended schools. Mr. Arsenault retired from the Town of Salem, New Hampshire in 1991 as a heavy equipment operator and he had previously worked for Watts Regulator in Lawrence, MA

He was a US Navy Sea Bees Veteran and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Salem VFW Memorial Post # 8546 in Salem, NH a member of the Military Order of the Cooties Pup Tent # 12 where he served as Seam Squirrel and later became the Grand Commander of the MOC. He was also a member of the Derry - Salem Elks Lodge # 2226 in Salem.

He was predeceased by his wife Cecelia “Sandy” (Atkinson) Arsenault who died in July 2002.

He is survived by 3 Sons: Cyril “Skip” & his wife Wendy Arsenault of California Scott & his wife Donna Arsenault of Derry, NH Brent Arsenault of Salem, NH

3 Daughters: Lynne & her husband Duane Schouw of Nevada Luann & her husband Steven Allard of Kingston, NH Tina & her husband Tony DaSilva of Lowell, MA

3 Brothers: Alfred Arsenault of Lawrence, MA Harold Arsenault of Colorado Richard Arsenault of Tenn.

5 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters and several nieces & nephews

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in the Salem Veterans Cemetery, Salem Center, and NH.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH with a VFW Salem Memorial Post # 8546 service at 7:00pm.
