Laura (Pereira) Espinola, age 87 of Swansea & formerly of Fall River. Passed away February 17, 2009. Wife of Fernando Espinola. Born in Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel Augusto Rodrigues Pereira and Laurinda de Sousa (Pereira). She was a member of St. Michael Church. Before retiring, she was a Machine Operator for the garment mfg. industry.
Besides her husband of Fall River, she is survived by 2 Children: Fernando M. Espinola of Fall River, and Grace Almeida of Ontario, Canada. 1 sister: Maria do Carmo Pereira of Kitchner, Ontario. 3 Grandchildren: Rui, Mark, and Christopher Almeida. 3 Great Grandchildren. Many nieces & nephews. She was sister of the late Duarte and Germana Pereira.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
