Jean E. (Craig) Josselyn 81 died Monday February 16th in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of Clayton J. “Joe” Josselyn.
Born in Norwood she was the daughter of the late James H. and Phyllis (Richardson) Craig.
Jean was a life long resident of Hanson having moved to town when she was only ten years old. She was a graduate of Whitman High School Class of 1946.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality and a past member of the church choir.
She enjoyed bowling and was an avid Red Sox fan. However her greatest joy came from time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Joyce Lawson of Whitman, Ellen Roth and her husband Robert of East Bridgewater, Michael Josselyn and his wife Jennifer of Hanson, Jeffrey Josselyn and his wife Carolyn of Plymouth, and Daniel Josselyn and his spouse Jeff of Ontario, Canada, her sister Dottie Conlon and her husband Eddie of Whitman, her eleven grandchildren Andrea FitzGerald-Rumsey, Ryan, Brandon, Colin, and Matthew Josselyn, and Rob, Brenna, Daniel and Dylan Roth, and Shelby and Courtney Josselyn, and one great granddaughter Samantha Jean Rumsey,. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joan DeGregorio and Jan, James and Jack Craig.
Her services will be held Friday February 20th at 10:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson. Visiting hours will be held Thursday February 19th from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.
