Anne “Nancy” Rawlings Toop died after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Stanley R. Tippett Hospice House in Needham. She was 70 years old. Born in Boston, Anne was the daughter of the late Elinor Goodwin (Welch) and John Rawlings Toop. A longtime Cambridge resident, Anne had also spent time in Nevada, Washington DC and Maryland. Anne worked in retail sales. She loved animals and attending bead and craft shows. Anne is survived by her brother Peter H. Toop of East Hartland, CT. She was the aunt of Peter S. Toop of Averill Park, NY and Micah Toop of Niskayuna, NY and is also survived by two great nieces, one great nephew and many cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, may 29 at 11:00 Am at Christ Church, 0 Garden St, Cambridge MA.
