Mary (Correia) Travis, age 94, a lifelong resident of Fall River. Passed away February 16, 2009. Widow of Joseph S. Travis. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Antone S.& Anna (Tavares) Correia. She was a member of St. Michael Church. Mary was primarily a homemaker, and previously worked at Sagamore Mills and at Soloff Mfg.
She is survived by 2 Children: Joseph J. Travis of Dighton, and Madeline Gardiner of Somerset. 5 Siblings: Arthur Correia, Ida Cabral, & Alice Cabeceiras all of Fall River, Antone Correia of Modesto, CA, & Dorothy Castro of Somerset. 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. She was also sister of the late Manuel, Joseph & Adelino Correia, and Lena Mello.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. THURSDAY w/ Visitation from 9:00-10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. There are no other calling hours.
