FORESTER, ANNABELLE H. (nee HEWITT), 91 of Oradell, died peacefully at home on Sunday, February 15, 2009 after a one and one half-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of J. Kenneth Forester. Adored mother of Kenneth and his wife Susan, Gary and his wife Lynne, Lynn Forester de Rothschild and her husband Evelyn, David and his wife Mary. Devoted sister of Robert Hewitt and Betty McKann. Cherished grandmother of Kelly, Kyle, Emily, Gregory, Katherine, Timothy, Ben, Jake, Tiffany, Brittany, Preston and Randall.
Annabelle was born in Butte, MT on October 29th 1917. She graduated from the College of Wooster, OH in 1939. She married J. Kenneth on December 27th, 1941. She was a devout Born-Again Christian, active in evangelism, service to the community and The Reformed Church of Oradell. Her special mission was home visitation to the sick, terminally ill and elderly. Annabelle was a dedicated NY Giants fan and season ticket holder attending every home game from 1955 through 2006. She was also an avid daily tennis player until the age of 87.
Viewing Tuesday, February 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at The Reformed Church of Oradell, 641 Church Street, Oradell; all to meet at church. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Annabelle’s name to: Valley Hospice
