John P. Flores, 74, of Little Compton, RI passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Carole (Davoll) Flores.
Born in Little Compton, son of the late Samuel and Mary (Peters) Flores, he was a lifelong resident of Little Compton. A Korean War veteran, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a driver / salesman for Shell Oil Company for 24 years and was also a part time police officer for the Town of Little Compton. After retirement he worked part time as a bus driver for the Town of Little Compton. Mr. Flores also served as a tax assessor for the Town of Little Compton.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: John P. Flores, Jr. and his wife Albina of Little Compton; a daughter: Sarah F. Reuter and her husband Steven of Little Compton; and a granddaughter: Peyton Reuter.
He was brother of the late Sam Flores.
