Ruth Dawson, 76, Clarksville, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Reynold Richaud and Rev. Dorothy Hartzog officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born October 5, 1932 in Hopkinsville, KY daughter of the late Joseph Butler and Violet Booker Haywood. She was a CPA and had worked for Mann-Smith Insurance. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Dawson; two sons, Raymond Hicks, III (Jennifer); and Joseph McGregor Hicks; one daughter, Saralinda Cameron-Ragazzo (Joseph); two step-daughters, Lisa Waggoner (Brad), and Kelly Westerback (Daryl); two sisters, Nancy Loftus (C.W.) and Angie Groom (Ronnie); five grandchildren, Matthew and David Hicks, Sydney Hicks, Christopher and Will Cameron; and two step-grandchildren, Austin and Lauren Westerback.
