Philip Elias Jr., age 80 of New Bedford & formerly of Fall River. Passed away February 13, 2009. He was the former husband of Rita Beaulieu. Born in Fall River, son of the late Philippe and Mary (Ferreira) Elias. Before retiring, he was a Truck Driver for the City of Fall River Public Works Dept. for many years. He was a member of the St. John’s Club & a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his former wife, he is survived by 4 Daughters: Deborah Elias of Fall River; Shirley Dupras of Tiverton; Diane Zmuda of Westport; and Linda Pelletier of Spring Hill, FL. 2 Sisters: Edith Carvalho of Fall River and Alma Richardson of CA. 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Antone Elias.
Relatives & friends are invited to meet in the parking lot of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on TUESDAY at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a Graveside Service & Internment at 10:30A.M. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. There are no separate calling hours.
