Obituary

Robert Joseph White, 50, Of Broken Arrow Oklahoma, passed away at Brigham & Women’s Hospital on February 9, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. He was born Sept. 6, 1958 in Natick. He was the loving husband of Sherry Foster of Broken Arrow, Okla., who always brought a smile to his face and was the love of his life. They were married Oct. 18, 1992, in Eureka Springs, Ark., dressing as Romeo and Juliet. He was a loving father to RJ Foster of Broken Arrow, Carlo and Jena Foster of Pryor, Okla., Kaitlin Foster of Broken Arrow, and TJ Foster of Broken Arrow. Robert was the proud grandfather of Talan, Kailee and Zachary Foster, whom he just adored and was so proud of. He also leaves his best buddy, Maggie (his cat), his constant companion. He was the son of the late Robert B. White and Elaine (Kugima) White of Natick; brother of Cynthia Bradshaw and Douglas of Yorba Linda, Calif., Marie Hilliker of Framingham, Jim Hilliker of Framingham, Joseph and Patricia White of Framingham, Joy Lane of Salina, Okla., and Wanda Wickham of Catoosa, Okla. He also leaves his nephews, Colton Clonce of Broken Arrow, James Clonce of Salina Okla., William Hilliker and Matt, Nick, Corey and Scott White of Framingham; his nieces, Sandy Markovitz of Niantic, Conn., Kristen Bradshaw of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Heather Mulkey of Orange, Calif.. He also leaves several aunts and uncles and many cousins; his great nephews, Dusty Hilliker of Haverhill and Colin Markovitz of Niantic, Conn; and his great nieces, Kayla and Brooke Markovitz of Niantic, Conn.. As a youth he was involved with the Natick Little League and Senior Babe Ruth League. He also played with men’s softball with the Central Church of the Nazarene in Tulsa, Okla.. He was a graduate of Natick High School, Class of 1976, and entered the U. S. Navy graduating from the Navy Nuclear Org.. He served on the USS Truxton and USS Ranger, and was honorably discharged in April of 1986. His ships took him to many ports of call around the world. He was a graduate of the University of Lowell in 1993 with a BA in chemical engineering, and began his career as a quality control engineer, which brought him to many countries in his field of work. He was a highly sought after and well known engineer. He was an active member of the Red Sox blog called Sawxheads.com. He was known as Tulsa bulldog and had made many friends from around the country on this chat line. A memorial service will take place Saturday, Feb. 14, at the CIC Church, 6 Loker St., Wayland at 11 a.m..
