Mrs. Madeline P. (Holmes) Kelly, 88, of North Reading and Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Thursday, February 12th, 2009 at her family's home in Methuen, Massachusetts.
She was born in Methuen, Massachusetts on April 17th, 1920 to the late Augustine and Harriet (Pfeiffer) Holmes. Mrs. Kelly was educated in the Steven Barker Elementary School and was a graduate of the Searle's High School in Methuen, MA and later graduated from Peter Bent Nursing School in Boston, MA.
Madeline worked as a surgical nurse for Peter Bent, then in 1950 she worked at the Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen, MA., and later worked as a Nurse at the Bedford VA Hospital for some 25 years.
Mrs. Kelly was an attendant of Saint Monica's Church and of Saint Mary's Church. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Garden Club of Lawrence, Massachusetts. She also was big fan of feeding the wild birds and loved other animals.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Monica's Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
