Ida Kathrine Turner Weeks, 75, of Tifton died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Larry Layfield and Rev. Jason Jones will officiate with burial to follow on Friday afternoon in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Weeks was born on May 3, 1933 in Winston and was the daughter of George Whitfield Turner and Ethel Huff Turner, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one son, Marshall Kenneth Turner. She was a retired nurse from Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta and a member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton.
Ms. Weeks is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Darlene Turner of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Weeks and Severiano DeLeon of Sycamore; several brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren, Alicia Gibbs and Greg Taylor.
