Ethel M. (Hart) Winters, age 86 years, of Wakefield, died Monday evening, February 9, 2009, after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, she graduated South Boston High School, and has lived in Wakefield for 57 years. She was a volunteer worker for several years at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Ethel was the beloved wife of the late Ivan “Bud” Winters, and the devoted mother of Shirley Hubbard and her husband Arthur Jr. of Wakefield, and Lee J. Winters and his wife Tammara of Wakefield. She was the loving grandmother of Cathy Olson and her husband Chris, and Adam Hubbard and his wife Kimm, and the beloved Great-grandmother of Christopher Olson and Ashley Olson. Mrs. Winters was also the devoted sister of Doris Lennon and Joseph Hart of Florida, William Hart of Dorchester and the late Ellen Ford, Mildred Pierce and Jean Vachon. Her Funeral will be held from the Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St., Melrose/Wakefield line on Friday, February 13 @ 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting Hours Thursday 4 – 8 p.m. Interment at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
