Jesup- Mrs. Lillian D. Padon, age 84, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Appling County living the past 55 years in Wayne County. Mrs. Padon was a retired nurse and homemaker. She was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church of Jesup.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands: Claude M. DeLoach Sr. and Allen W. Padon.
Survivors are one daughter: Judith D. “Judee” Mobley of Odum; three sons: Maron and wife Cheryl DeLoach of Jesup, Michael D. and wife Patricia DeLoach of Odum and Bobby DeLoach of Jesup; two sisters: Meta Bullard of Jacksonville, FL and Lottie Mae Johnson of Baxley; one brother: Lorace Dyal of Baxley; five grandchildren: Joy Mobley, Seth Mobley, Joe Mobley, Meliea DeLoach, and Michael DeLoach; four great-grandchildren: Ellie Mobley, Carly Mobley, Reece Mobley, and Daelen Jace DeLoach; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 11:00 am from the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel of Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack Lee and Albert Dyal officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
