Obituary

Jennie Ann Kott, 87, of Manchester, died February 8, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She was born March 4, 1921 in Whitinsville, MA, the daughter of Benjamin and Victoria (Plazak) Trojanowski. She was a graduate of Hesser Business College.
Prior to her retirement from Lady Grace in the 1980’s, Jennie had been employed at various local businesses. During the 1960’s, she had worked as the head of the candy department at Jordan Marsh and later was employed by Elm St. Flower Shop.
Jennie loved doing crewel work and enjoyed teaching Pysanky, a Ukrainian style of Easter egg decoration.
Along with her husband, she was very dedicated to improving her local community in a variety of ways. She had volunteered at the Laconia State School and was a member of the Manchester Garden Club. She was longtime communicant of St. Joseph Cathedral.
Her husband, Russell Kott predeceased her in 1998. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Henry Trojanowski, Albert Trojanowski, and John Trojanowski as well as one sister, Irene Boskin
She leaves behind two sons, Russell P. Kott of Manchester and James M. Kott of Wolfeboro; two grandchildren, Melissa K. Kott and Tyler J. Kott, both of Wolfeboro; one sister, Helena Prokuski of Goffstown; one brother-in-law, Reynolds Smith of Manchester; five sister-in-laws, Stella Struk, formerly of Manchester, now of Ridgefield, CT, Sally Kmon of Manchester, Josie Trojanowski of Uxbridge, MA, Ann Kott and Colette Trojanowski, both of FL; nephews and nieces.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 13, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St, Bedford.
