Obituary

Ernest David Kisner, Jr. 72, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at home in Bruce, MS. He was born March 3, 1936 in Paris, MS to E.D. and Cathay Babb Kisner. He worked many years at Big Yank in Water Valley and was a member of the Army National Guard. He held memberships in the First United Methodist Church in Paris, MS, the Masonic Lodge in Bruce, MS, the Oddfellows, and was an avid sports fan of Ole Miss and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. David Poyner presiding. Burial will be at Paris Cemetery in Lafayette County with David R. Kisner, Jerry Saxton, David Doss, Ernie Doss, Johnny Nichols, and Benjamin Bagwell serving as pallbearers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Maynor and two brothers, John Kisner and James Kisner.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Kisner of Bruce, MS; a daughter, Pamela Albrecht of Jackson, MS; a stepdaughter, Teresa Nichols of Vardaman, MS; a son, David R. Kisner of Ocean Springs, MS; three stepsons, Davy Doss of Bruce, MS, Glenn Doss of Starkville, MS. and Ernie Doss of Bruce, MS; a sister, Ernestine Simon of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
