LAWRENCE – Theresa A. (Kirouac) Torrisi age 81 of Lawrence, MA died Sunday February 8, 2009 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody, MA.
Born and educated in Swanton Vermont, she was the daughter of Albert and Blanche (LaRouche) Kirouac, and attended Vermont Schools. Theresa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, known as Terry by her friends and family, and Meme by her grandchildren. Although she loved going to Foxwoods, playing cards with family and bingo with friends, nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren. Terry loved life and found strength through her faith. She was one of those rare individuals that always saw the bright side, never complained and was known by her infectious laugh. Prior to her retirement, Terry worked at Mighty Mac and Ralph Lauren in Lawrence.
Terry was a member of both the Lawrence and Methuen Senior Centers and an attendant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.
She is survived by her husband Alfred R. Torrisi of Lawrence, MA, children Brenda Stevens and her husband Kenneth of Methuen, MA, Gary Torrisi and his wife Linda of Salem, NH, David Torrisi and his wife Janeth of Curpertino, CA.
Grandchildren Eric Stevens of Medford, MA, Sherri Williams and her husband Nathan of Montreal. Canada, Steven and Kristina Torrisi.
Sisters Clarice Lord of Sanford, FL and Yvonne Ouellette and her husband Henry of Plaistow, NH., Brothers Albert Kirouac of Vermont and Alfred Kirouac of California.
ARRNGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to the American Lung Association 5 Mountain Rd. Burlington, MA 01803 Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
