Obituary

John A. Kelly, 85, of Spencer Road, Greenville, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Village at Waterman Lake. He was the husband of Lillian M. (Beliveau) Kelly. They had been married for 61 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Patrick J. and Susan M. (McGowan) Kelly. He had been a resident of Smithfield for 51 years. He was a WWII Navy veteran, a member of the St. Philip Men’s Club and Adoration Society, the Balfour Cole Post #64, the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Tin Can Sailor Society.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Kathleen S. Hall of Lincoln, William P. Kelly of Rumford, James H. Kelly of Cumberland and Steven J. Kelly of Burrillville, a grandson and five granddaughters. He was the father of the late John A. Kelly and brother of the late William J. Kelly, Mary C. Sullivan, Helen Duxbury, Alice Foster, Regina Smith and Veronica Porrazzo.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial with Military Honors in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm.
