Mona A. Nicolosi, 53, of Clocktower Place, Nashua, NH, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Derry, NH on November 12, 1949, a daughter of the late Arthur and Jeannette (Demianow) Desrocher. She was a resident of Nashua since November of 2001, formerly living in Londonderry, NH for 25 years and Derry. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, Class of 1967. Mona had owned and operated LA Wholesale in Hudson, NH with her husband, until December 2001. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the tropics, and enjoyed picking up shells on the beaches of St. Thomas and making artistic displays with them. Until her illness, Mona and her husband had planned to move to Secret Harbor, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands last November. Mona made friends with ease and was loved by all.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Nicolosi of Nashua, one daughter, Kelli Ann Gustafson of Newmarket, NH, and three grandsons, Michael, Alex and Daniel.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial gathering will be held from 9 – 11:00am on Saturday May 31st in the Alvirne Chapel, Route 102, Hudson, NH. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mona’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Bldg., 360 State Rt. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
