Constance A.(Rousseau) Mahaney,92, of Stiles Reservoir, Spencer, formerly of Leicester passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, at home with her loving family.
Constance leaves five children: David G. Mahaney of Spencer (wife - Geraldine), Martha L. Brunelle of Spencer (husband - Frederick), Joseph F. Mahaney of Charlton (wife - Michelle), Madeleine C. Dudley of No. Oxford (husband - Daniel), and John C. Mahaney of Spencer (wife - Jeri Lynn);
13 grandchildren, Jeffrey Brunelle, Jennifer Brunelle, Michael Mahaney, Christine Brunelle, Michelle Scott, Patrick Mahaney, Justin Mahaney, Miranda Dudley, Rebecca Dudley, Alyssa Mahaney, Amanda Mahaney, Katrina Mahaney and Johnny Mahaney; 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Constance was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Rosalba( Lussier)Rousseau. She was predeceased by her brother, Wyman Rousseau and her sister, Sister Marie Faustinien. She lived most of her life in Leicester and Spencer. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1935. She dedicated her life to her family.
Constance was active in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, St. Joseph's Parish, and St. Pius X Women's Guild, serving as President for many years.
She was a docent at the Worcester Art Museum. She enjoyed literature, stamp collecting, swimming, traveling, painting and art.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10:00 AM in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St.,Spencer. Burial of Ashes will be at the convenience of the family in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Overlook Hospice Services, 88 Masonic Home Road, Davenport Bldg, 2nd Floor, Charlton, MA 01507 or Webster Manor, School Street, Webster, MA 01570. J.
