Beloved wife of John B. Thomas of Hingham. Devoted mother of Virginia and her husband Roland Hebert of TX, Joan Thomas of Hull, John E. Thomas and his wife Kim of Whitman and James E. Thomas and his wife Bodil of Somerville. Loving sister of George Colbert of NC and Carl Colbert of MD. Cherished grandmother of Alicia, Monica, Ashleigh and John Bo and great grandmother of Christopher and Justin.
Dorothy was born in Revere and lived in Hingham for over 50 years throughout her life. Being part of a military family, she also lived and traveled all over the United States. She was a Lifelong Girl Scout and was a member of the Patriot Trail Girl Scout Council. Dorothy was also the first woman to ever work in Faneuil Hall. She enjoyed reading, music, gardening and cooking. Dorothy loved being surrounded by her family and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham, Sunday from 2-5 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 5 PM.
