Betty Seay Kendrick, 80, Clarksville, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Centennial Hospital, Nashville, TN. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Nashville National Cemetery, 1420 Gallatin Road South, Madison, TN 37115. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Nashville National Cemetery. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born August 7, 1928 in Indian Mound, Tn daughter of William Angers Seay and Virginia Butts Seay. She was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ and was retired from First Trust and Savings Bank. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James (Jim) Kendrick, Sr; and a brother, Paul Seay. Survivors include a son, James (Jim) M. Kendrick, Jr, Nashville, a daughtr, Ginger Kendrick Saunders, Nashville; brother, Bob Seay, Clarksville; sister, Angeline (Aggie) Caroland, Alexandria, VA; and three grandchildren, Patrick Saunders, Christopher Saunders, and James M. (Jim) Kendrick, III Pallbearers will be Aaron Shoemaker, Vic Seay, Tim Seay, Lawson Mabry, Bill Johnson, and Ben Kimbrough.
