WEBSTER____Anele (Baliunas) Maskeliunas, 77, of Golden Heights, died Saturday May 24 in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster.
Her husband of 52 years, Julius Maskeliunas died in 2001.She leaves two daughters, Sabina M. Spratt of Worcester and Nijola B. Price of Webster; three grandsons, one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. She was born and raised in Kybartai, Lithuania, daughter of Vincus and Anna (Bendoraitis) Baliunas. She lived in Worcester for 39 years and has lived in Webster since 1990.
Mrs. Maskeliunas was a packer and inspector five years for Astra Pharmaceutical Co., and retired in 1973. Before then she worked several years for Table Talk Pie Co. She was educated in Lithuania.
She was a member of St. Casimirs Church, Worcester and was a former member of Our Lady of Vilna Church, Worcester. She was also a member of the Lithuanian Charitable Society; the Lithuanian National Guard and the Lithuanian American Roman Catholic Womens Alliance, Chapter 5.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday May 28 from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., Worcester with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in St. Casimirs Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday May 27 from 5 to 8 p.m.
