Obituary

Worcester____Josephine B (Kinchus) Zinkus 94 formerly of The Mount Carmel Apartments, 50 Shrewsbury Street, died Friday May 23 in The Lutheran Home of Worcester.

Her husband of fifty two years John J Zinkus died in 1980. Mrs. Zinkus is survived by a son Robert G Zinkus of Worcester. Three grandsons,Richard R Zinkus of North Grafton, Randall A Zinkus of Boston and James J Zinkus of Worcester, and six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Five sisters predeceased her. Mrs. Zinkus was born in Worcester a daughter of Frank and Margaret (Boskus) Kinchus and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was educated in Worcester Schools.

Mrs. Zinkus was a Knitter for many years at the former Worcester Knitting Company, retiring in 1969.

A lifelong member of Saint Casimir Parish, she was also a member of The Mount Carmel Golden Agers, and The mount Carmel Association. She was a volunteer at Saint Vincent Hospital and was a member of The Friends of The Worcester Senior Center. Mrs. Zinkus enjoyed knitting for infants which she did for many years.

The funeral will be held Tuesday May 27th from The Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Casimirs Church 41 Providence St. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery Worcester. A calling hour will be from 9 to 10:30am Tuesday May 27th prior to the funeral Mass. Memorial Donations may be made in her memory to The Building Fund of St. Casimirs Church 41 Providence St., Worcester Mass. 01604
