Margaret “Maggie” Covino, 97 of Somerville, died Thursday unexpectedly in the Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett, MA.
Born in Italy, she lived in Somerville for the past 55 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Pasqualena (Mugeo) and Frank Roselli. Margaret was a retired Stitcher. She was a member of the Peabody House in Somerville and the Senior Center in Somerville. Devoted mother of Jerome Covino of Somerville, Robert Covino and his companion Anna Mason of East Boston. Loving grandmother of Lori Bryan, Robert and Jeremy Covino. Loving great grandmother of Robbie Covino. Sister of Rose Sacco of Somerville, Ida Roselli and Anthony Roselli both of Lynn. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
