OBITUARY
Fitchburg
Rene Edmond LeBlanc, 65, of Fitchburg died Tuesday January 27 at
Hillcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an lillness.
Rene leaves his wife Rebecca (Skeans) LeBlanc of Fort Myers,
Florida, his sons Rene E. LeBlanc Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland, William
"Billy"LeBlanc of Fitchburg and Henry LeBlanc and his wife Michelle of
Pasadena, Marylnd. His daughters, Laura L. Pikunka of Winchendon, Rita
Koger and her husband Floyd of Fort Bennington, Georgia
and Barbara LeBlanc of Leominster. His brothers, Henry J. LeBlanc of Las
Vegas and Daniel J. LeBlanc and his wife Barbara of Lunenburg. His
sisters, Theresa Fricker of Leominster, Doris Laquire of Fitchburg, Rita
Walsh and her husband Thomas of Gardner and Joanna Babineau of
Fitchburg. Eight grandchildren and two great grancchildren. Nieces and
nephews. Four brothers and two sisters died before him.
Rene attended local schools. He worked for many years as a millright at the
former Fitchburg Paper Co. Before then he worked for several years as a
meat cutter at several local grocery stores. Rene was a 24 year member of
Friends of Bill. Rene was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.
Rene was a U.S.Navy veteran of the Vietnam era. For two years he served
aboard the U.S.S. Constitution in Boston.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts
Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon at a later date. Bosk Funeral Home 85
Blossom St. is assisting the family.
